In the afternoon of 2^nd September, the opening ceremony of Madagascar International Conference Center contracted by AFECC was held at Antananarivo, capital of Madagascar. President special advisor was attending the ceremony on behalf of the president. People from Madagascar side present the ceremony  were Minister of Public Works, Minister of Territory Management, and State Secretary of Public Security Ministry etc, people from Chinese side present the ceremony were Mr. Li Shuli, ambassador to Madagascar, Mr. Fu Yonghe, counselor of Chinese Economic and Commercial Counselor’s Office in Madagascar as well as representatives from Chinese invested companies and oversea Chinese.

 

Minister of Public Works on behalf Madagascar government expressed his warm congratulations on official commencement of the International Conference Centre project. In his speech he said, “ Today is a very import day for both China and Madagascar, the Conference Centre is a symbol of the relationship between China and Madagascar.”

He added that this project was second symbolic structure after Gymnasium project as an aid given gratis by Chinese government to Madagascar government and he was very appreciated to the selfless support extended by Chinese government. Madagascar government would try as much as they could to provide fine facilities necessary for construction, and it was believed that the Chinese government would perfectly fulfill the task. Afterward, Mr. Li, Chinese ambassador made remarks about the project and AFECC and said that Chinese government attached high importance to the project, and required that the contractor must have sense of high responsibility and speciality, and should complete the Conference Center with high quality work on scheduled time. The reprsentative of AFECC made a speech in which he expressed that AFECC would never let down the expectation of Chinese government and would go all out to wholeheartedly organize the construction so as to build the project into the first grade work of high quality.

Colourful flags flying, the ceremony, with unprompted participation of 150 native mass, was filled with an ardent atmosphere, at ther entrance a  3×3.15m sized effect picture reflecting the night scene of the Conference Center was erected, which exhibited a spectacular scene of the project after completion.
